The Tantō is a traditional Japanese short sword with a compact, straight blade and pointed shape. Originally carried by samurai, it was ideal for precise stabs and fine cuts. These clear lines and sharpness also inspired the KAI Tim Mälzer Tantō 25 cm,
a blade with a core of extremely edge-holding VG MAX steel, surrounded by 32 layers of stainless Damascus steel - for optimum hardness and flexibility. The Tsuchime hammer-finish structure reduces the adhesion of cut material, while the double grind and low weight enable precise guidance.
The ergonomic handle with full tang ensures balance and is suitable for both right and left-handers. The design is rounded off by the engraved Tim Mälzer bull's head at the end of the handle
