The elegant Essence water glas was created in 2001 by Swiss designer Alfredo Häberli for Finnish manufacturer Iittala.

Häberli's design idea was to create a glass series that would form an attractive and balanced ensemble on the table. For him the usual "up" and "down" of the height of the glasses was a mess on the table. That is why Alfredo Häberli designs the feet and stems of the glasses to be of equal length. Also the proportions of the goblets are almost the same.
