Nordur Smoked
Sea salt flakes from Iceland

This Nordur-Slaz has been smoked and is a perfect combination of Icelandic salt and traditional Danish smokehouse art. In a small smokehouse, the smoke from the embers of various woods gives the salt an almost forgotten aroma from times gone by. The aroma is reminiscent of old whisky!

Nordur sea salt flakes are produced in Iceland using a geothermal process that has been in use since 1753. Crystal clear sea water is fed into boiling pans and slowly allowed to evaporate with the heat from the hot springs.

The fresh, delicately crunchy salt flakes have a high content of trace elements, which gives them an intense mineral taste.
