Carl Pott established the classic Pott style with this model in 1935. It consistently follows the purist design principles of the Werkbund and Bauhaus and is completely free of the rich ornamentation that was common at the time. Almost unsaleable in Germany, it received the highest award at the Paris World Exhibition in 1937. This was the breakthrough for Carl Pott, whose creations continue to influence the development of international cutlery culture to this day.
