Nordur Smoked
Sea salt flakes from Iceland Tin can

This Nordur salt has been smoked and is a perfect combination of Icelandic salt and the traditional Danish art of smoking. In a small smoking chamber, the smoke from the embers of various woods gives the salt an almost forgotten aroma from earlier times. The aroma is reminiscent of old whisky!

Nordur sea salt flakes are produced in Iceland using a geothermal process that has been in use since 1753. Crystal-clear seawater is fed into boiling pans and slowly evaporated with the heat of the hot springs.

The fresh, delicately crunchy salt flakes have a high proportion of trace elements, which gives them an intense mineral taste.
