Nordur sea salt flakes are produced in Iceland using a geothermal process that has been in use since 1753. Crystal-clear seawater is fed into boiling pans and slowly evaporated with the heat of the hot springs.

The fresh, delicately crunchy salt flakes contain a high proportion of trace elements, which gives them an intense mineral taste.
