As German speakers, we often think: "English? Easy peasy!" The words are short, there are no genders - and conjugation is rarely used. Three hours of a basic course and you're already convinced: "That makes me so quickly nobody after." (Nobody makes me like that so quickly)

Until you're surprised to discover during your first conversation with native speakers: "They only understand trainstation." (They only understand trainstation.)
