ARAI Supachura

The Zurich-based designer Saskia Widmer is behind the ARAI ceramic brand. Having always been drawn to beautiful things and enjoying working with her hands, she came to ceramic design and founded her own design label in 2023. The name ARAI means rough in Japanese, which perfectly describes the design language of her porcelain objects.

She loves the daily interaction with customers, which is why she also loves her job at Sibler, but every now and then she also needs a balance. Working with porcelain helps her to calm down and be in the moment. Saskia Widmer: "I like to play with structures and shapes. Nature is my source of inspiration."
